In 1845 Ernestine Fremaux and her husband founded a linen weaving mill near Lille, in the heart of the French textile industry. Sixty years after the invention of the mechanical loom, it was the dawn of the industrialization of textile manufacturing.
Surviving a fire and the catastrophic effects of World War II upon the textile industry in the North of France, the company that began as Fremaux mills eventually joined with Mr. Yves Delorme, a talented stylist for home décor, and Yves Delorme Paris, as we know it today, was born.
For over five generations Yves Delorme has drawn its strength and skill from the loom and know-how from the workshops of the family business. The creative richness of its artistic director Evelyne Julienne and the international expansion of the retail network have made Yves Delorme a world reference of luxury linens.
The Yves Delorme style, a blend of tradition and invention, embodies a facet of the French “art de vivre” and offers the experience of an everyday luxury. Yves Delorme aims to create a style of living for the complete home by adding to its collections for bed and bath, table linen, lingerie, home fragrances, even furniture.
